Violence Against Women Act Committee
Established as a requirement for agencies receiving Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) funding, the VAWA Committee is made up of members of law enforcement, victim services, and prosecution. The committee works to promote a seamless system of delivery for victims of domestic violence. Leadership of the committee rotates on a yearly basis among committee members. For 2005, the committee is chaired by Family and Child Abuse Prevention Center and meets quarterly at the Community Services Building.
