Model Court Committee
The Lucas County Juvenile Court has been designated a Model Court by the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges. As such, the court is seeking to improve outcomes for the neglected and abused children under its jurisdiction by including key stakeholders in strategic planning, in assessing systems' functioning, in targeting goals for improvement in the court processes and in effecting systems change in meeting the needs of children in care and their families. The Model Court committee meets on the first Wednesday of the month from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Lucas County Juvenile Justice Center .
