The Lucas County Child Abuse Task Force meets the first Friday of each month from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Community Services Building at One Stranahan Square, Toledo, Ohio. The Task Force is open to any person concerned about the protection of children. If you are interested in finding out more about the Task Force or how to become involved, please contact Denise Majewski(dmajewski@fcapc.org) for more information.
History of the Task Force
The Lucas County Child Abuse Task Force, previously known as the Sexual Abuse Task Force was formed in 1985. Working from a philosophical premise that agencies and professionals must work together in order to prevent child sexual abuse, individuals representing public and private agencies concerned with children gathered together to find ways to address the growing problem of child sexual abuse. In 1997, the Task Force expanded its mission to address all forms of child abuse and neglect.
