The Lucas County Domestic Violence Fatality Review Team
The Lucas County Domestic Violence Fatality Review Team was formed to systematically examine all local domestic violence-related deaths in order to: (1) identify trends, risk factors and gaps in service; (2) improve prevention and intervention strategies; (3) gather data to raise public awareness and support public policy initiatives; and (4) reduce the incidence of domestic violence-related deaths in Northwest Ohio . While the work of the committee is retrospective, in that it examines past events, the real thrust of our effort is prospective, in that it seeks to create positive change for the future.
The team meets on the first Monday of the month at 1:00pm at the Family & Child Abuse Prevention Center. For more information contact Gaby Davis at gdavis3@pop3.utoledo.edu.
