seconds, A woman in the US is battered by her partner.
In Lucas County, more than
domestic violence calls are reported per month
Nearly
substantiated cases of child abuse each year in Lucas County.

Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women ages 15-44, more than car accidents, muggings and rapes combined. More than 3 million children witness violence each year. These staggering statistics are exactly why we are here.  
  • 60% of children who grow up in violent homes become batterers or victims.
  • 4 children die every day in this country due to child abuse & neglect.
  • Abuse & neglect are the leading causes of death in children under the age of four
  • 95% of sex offenders are known to the children they molest.
  • ​1:4 girls and 1:7 boys will experience sexual abuse.
  • 300 Million + cases of child abuse are reported each year many cases go unreported.
