Advocates provide information on domestic violence and legal options available to victims in Lucas and Ottawa Counties. Advocates accompany victims to Municipal and Domestic Relations Courts, assist with safety planning, and link victims to other helpful community resources. Advocates are available to conduct presentations for students, community groups, and area professionals on topics related to domestic violence, dating violence, and healthy relationships. |

Project Access assists victims of domestic violence and their children. Project Access case managers can provide information about domestic violence, assist with safety planning, advocate on your behalf, and link you with community resources. Confidential help provided at no cost to individuals. Must be receiving cash assistance from LCDJFS or be TANF eligible. The program is designed to support women who are either currently experiencing domestic violence or for those who have survived it in the past. Children Who Witness Violence Support Group is designed for 3 to 6-year-old children who have witnessed violence in their homes. This non-clinical support group educates children on the topics of personal safety, support systems, violence prevention, emotional management, coping strategies, and building self-esteem. This group meets on Tuesdays from 4:00-4:45 pm at the Children's Advocacy Center (2460 Cherry St. Toledo, OH 43608). *Group participants must complete an intake appointment before beginning group.
